That is us – the Kübler family. Three generations in our company stand for Franconian hospitality – between tradition and modern style. The origin of the Küblers’ family history in Röthenbach near St. Wolfgang goes back at least to 1764. In the old-established Gasthaus zum gelben Löwen, inn, farming and their own butcher’s shop were united under one roof for seven generations. With grandma Erika and grandpa Erwin Kübler the foundation stone for today’s hotel was laid in 1971. Doris Kübler, hotel manageress and daughter of Erika and Erwin Kübler and thus the “second generation”, has been working energetically in her parents’ business for over 30 years and is now at the side of the “third generation”. She has passed on her passion for good food, cooking and hospitality to them.
When Sophia and Dominik Kübler first met, their path was actually already mapped out – it was a parish fair in the “yellow lion”, and it was the joy of working together and their enthusiasm for gastronomy that led to the fact that the two now run the Hotel & Restaurant Kübler as a married couple.
After our house has been run by two tenant families for over 14 years until 29.02.2020, we are now taking the reins back into our own hands as a family, with the next generation in charge. In this context, the modernisation of the restaurant and kitchen, but also of the hotel and conference facilities are on the agenda.
Until the work is completed, the restaurant is unfortunately only reserved for our hotel guests – but we are already looking forward to welcoming and serving you in our freshly renovated premises towards the end of the year!
Of course, we will provide for your physical well-being at the Röthenbacher Kärwa, as usual, in the historic Gasthaus zum gelben Löwen. From 3 – 6.7.2020 you can enjoy Grandpa Erwin’s famous barbecue knuckles, freshly tapped green beer and a varied music programme.
Your family Kübler with team 🙂
